Product profile

The germ or embryo is the portion of the grains that, after the sowing, is in charge of reproducing the rice plant.
During the first growing stage, the plant has not developed yet the organs and structures that enable it to take in the necessary nutritious substances for its maintenance from the external environment; that is why within the germ there are those nutritional elements that have a key function also in our diet: Vitamins, Proteins, Sugars, Fats, Minerals and a series of minor compounds that provide known effects to the human physiology.
This structure is approximately 1 to 3% of the entire rice grain but represents 70% of the rice nutritional value .

Riso Scotti Ingredients has developed and patented the techniques, processing times and parameters to efficiently obtain a rice germ that keeps all its nutritional characteristics with stability for a 12 month period.
