DescriptionPuffed rice is a natural and thermo-treated product, obtained without using vapour, chemical additives or colorants. Its organoleptic features are an ivory cereal, with a lightly toasted taste.
The production technology consists in a first pre-heating stage in which rice reaches a temperature higher than 100°C and a second stage in which the difference of pressure exerted on the product enables its expansion.
The process can be used to obtain different specific gravities depending on the different industrial needs (from 65 to 100 g/L).
The finished product is a grain transformed as for dimensions and texture, with a low humidity (max 7%).
